Q: What inspires your press-on nail designs, and how do you come up with new ideas for each collection?
A: Each season, I choose a new destination to inspire my designs. I dive into the local culture, researching current nail trends within that destination and drawing inspiration from famous landmarks, food, and art unique to that area. This helps shape the themes and aesthetics of my collection, ensuring it’s both on-trend and reflective of the location’s vibe.
After experimenting with different ideas, I gather feedback to see what resonates. This collaborative process helps refine my designs, resulting in pieces that capture the essence of both the season and the destination.
Q: Can you walk us through the customization process for your press-on nails? How do you ensure each set is unique and tailored to your customers' preferences?
A: In addition to my collections, I offer a personalized custom set option for customers who want something unique. The process is simple—just send in pictures of your hands for measurements, along with any inspirational images or words that capture your style and vision. I design the set based on your preferences, and before shipping, I’ll send you a preview to make sure you’re completely satisfied with the final result.
Q: What are your top tips for applying press-on nails and making them last as long as possible?
A: PREP PREP PREP! Preparation is everything when it comes to ensuring your press-on nails last! I always recommend using our disposable prep kit included with your order. My top tips include pushing back your cuticles, removing any shine, dirt, or oil from your nails, and using quality glue (ours is great!). Also, avoid soaking your hands in water for long periods. If you’re active or use your hands a lot for work, opting for shorter nail lengths can help your set last even longer.
Q: What nail trends are you most excited about right now, and how do you incorporate them into your designs?
A: I’m absolutely obsessed with sculpted nail art—whether it’s flowers, lines, or tiny items, it always adds something special. When designing, I aim for balance, adding just the right amount of sculpted flair without going overboard. For example, I might limit the sculpted art to a few nails or keep it small on each nail so it still stands out without being too much. And I can’t forget my love for the almond nail shape—I feel like it’s more appealing for my hand.
Q: How does Nail Voyager approach sustainability in your products and packaging, and why is this important to your brand?
A: At The Nail Voyager, sustainability is a key focus. Our press-on nails are reusable, and we’ve designed our packaging to be repurposed too. For example, the suitcase packaging can hold other items, and we include luggage tags perfect for travel. While our glue and nails aren’t biodegradable yet, we’re actively researching eco-friendly alternatives to improve. We’re committed to supporting sustainability as much as possible in every aspect of our business.
